The Swab Skidder, model SKAL-106, is just what you’re looking for in a wildland fire/quick attack vehicle. Suitable chassis include the Ford F-450/F-550 and the Chevrolet 3500HD series in both regular cab and crew cab configurations.
The Skidder was designed from the ground up for use with Custom Fiberglass Products “slip-in” pump and tank combination units. Because the body was designed around the slip-in unit, compartment space has been maximized while eliminating wasted space in other areas. This combines to make a much better completed package than attempting to retrofit a slip-in unit to a production utility body, while still being priced competitively. The Skidder also offers a welcomed alternative to brush trucks built incorporating flat-bed bodies and “bolt-on” compartment boxes.

The Skidder offers up over 79 cubic feet of compartment space! You’ll be hard pressed to get that much compartment space out of an “off the shelf” utility body. Compartments can be customized with your choice of adjustable shelving, roll-out decks and drawers, partitions, stationary shelves, and custom tool mounting in order to effectively utilize space.
